For everyone

Accessibility statement

We want this site to be easy to use for everyone — with a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier or a small phone screen. Here is what is built in, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Works with the keyboard alone

Every page can be used without a mouse. Pressing Tab moves through the menu, buttons and forms in a sensible order, Enter activates them, and the current spot is always shown with a clear outline.

Skip link

The very first thing on every page is a hidden "Skip to main content" link. Keyboard and screen-reader visitors can jump straight past the menu to the page itself.

Screen-reader friendly

Pages use proper headings, landmarks and picture descriptions. Screen readers are told what every button does — including ones shown as icons only — and the locked Phone App page clearly announces that it is coming soon and its buttons are not yet available.

Clear text and contrast

Body text sits on backgrounds chosen to keep it readable, and headings are set in a clear, modern typeface. We check every page on five common phone sizes so nothing is cramped or sideways-scrolling on a small screen.

Calm movement

If your device is set to reduce motion, the site stops its smooth-scrolling effects and follows along.

Forms that talk back

The message forms label every field clearly, confirm what has been typed, and tell you plainly whether your message was sent — or ask you to phone us if it wasn't.

How we check the site

Every page is tested automatically in a phone-sized browser across the most common screen widths, and the whole site is reviewed in a real browser before any change goes live. We check that pages load, headings sit in a sensible order, nothing scrolls sideways, and buttons are large enough to tap.

Things outside our control

Some parts of the site are provided by other companies — the Google map on the Contact page, and the phone buttons that open your own calling app. We choose them carefully, but how they behave inside is controlled by Google, Apple or your phone maker, not by us. If one of them gives you trouble, the details underneath it — the full address, phone number and email — always work on their own.

Tell us about a barrier, or ask for an accommodation

If anything on this site is hard for you to use — text too small, a button that won't work with your screen reader, a page that doesn't behave — please tell us. You can also ask for information in another way, for example a plain-text version of a page or help arranging your first appointment.

If you tell us what page you were on and what happened, it helps us fix it faster — but a rough description in your own words is perfectly enough.

How the premises suit you

Accessibility doesn't stop at the website. The practice is wheelchair accessible. The practice offers a private and discreet setting, with easy access, wheelchair accessibility and free parking available nearby. Session duration is one hour. If you have a particular need before you visit, mention it when you get in touch and we will do our best to meet it.
