Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Often described as 'psychological first aid' — a structured process for people involved in a critical incident.
CISM is often described as ‘psychological first aid’, and is specifically for dealing with traumatic events. It’s a structured and professionally recognized process for helping people involved in a critical incident. CISM helps people to share their experience and vent their emotions. They learn about stress reactions and symptoms and it also provides referral for further help – if required. This service is provided by Tom Evans.
